Judges are acclaimed professional artists selected by AAC committee on a rotating basis. Awards and ribbons are given to winning artists at receptions held in the gallery. Grandview Avenue Gallery receptions are free and open to the public. They are typically held on the 3rd Sunday of the exhibit’s first month, from 4 – 6PM.

Atlanta Artists Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It was founded in 1954 by a small group of watercolor painters searching for a place to paint and exhibit their work. After a series of rented spaces, this growing group of artists pooled their resources to obtain the space now known as Atlanta Artists Center.
