My order came with a white snake and a clamp on power unit. The total was about 1300 USD shipped. (This was similar in cost the uplifts 4-leg, but I decided on the apex pro because I have an monitor clamp and I didnt want to remove or modify the uplifts cross bar.) I chose an HPL because I plan on moving in the future and wanted a lighter top. I spoke to Chris a bit, and he said Apex Pro Max and Vertex Pro were about the same in stability. The main differences are Pro Max has a crossbar and where the motors/controllers are sourced from. I have a 72x36 top on a Vertex Pro base and love it. I was able to get the 35" deep feet with this top and it's incredibly stable even on carpet. Super happy with this setup. Cherry wood top with walnut accent in the middle. Shelf made out of cherry held up by iron pipes. The frame is from Deskhaus and is their Apex Pro. This thing is SOLID. Pretty much the only shake from it is from the floor itself (old house). Highly recommend these guys.I installed threaded inserts for my Apex Pro, however this was with a 1.5 in. maple butcher block, not an HPL top.
