Gsg firefly problems

GSG Firefly first time out. Picked up the Firefly from Brownells in November on a sale for $160. Took it to the range for the first time today. I found my thumb interfered with the slide lock on last round and had to move it a little out to avoid negating the feature. Once I repositioned my thumb I didn't have that issue any longer.

RWS HV HP ammo 8 out of 10 rounds fired. CCi Stinger all failed to fire CCi minimag 3 out of 10 rounds fired all the above ammo fires in my Browning Buckmark Rifle including subsonics consistently. My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun.
