My garbage disposal stopped working

A few days ago my garbage disposal (GD) stopped working. When id flip the switch, it would hum but nothing would happen. Now, nothing happens at all - it doesn’t even hum. I checked the breaker and it’s on. The sink is even beginning to drain slowly, but I was able to manually turn it from underneath the sink with the Allen wrench.
